Live below the line challenge
Comments Off on Live below the line challengeWe are big supporters of the SAFE Foundation; a Cardiff based charity, set up and run by some amazing people and helping children stay safe all over the world.
This year SAFE and their supporters are taking part in the Live below the line challenge. The challenge is to eat and drink on just £1 a day for 5 days! 1.2 billion people around the world live on less than £1 a day, not just for food and drink but for everything; education, health and housing. The official challenge begun on Monday 27th April so the SAFE participants and nearly half way through and are sharing their stories on blogs and Live below the line. However it’s not too late to join up - you can still take the challenge until the end of June.

The SAFE Foundation supports locally-led, people centred projects responding to hardship issues, increasing access to basic human rights like education, safe water and healthcare in the developing world and promotes socially responsible lifestyles in our own communities. Many of SAFE’s beneficiaries live below the extreme poverty line and by taking this challenge, getting sponsored for your efforts, blogging your journey, from menus to recording the effects of eating using such restricted funds, you can help raise awareness of those 1.2 billion people and help to eradicate extreme poverty!
