In early September 2015 Green City Events hosted an exciting new event in collaboration with Darkened rooms, Pedal Emporium and Cynefin Cardiff. More than 300 people joined us to watch films which they were powering by pedalling! It took 5 bikes in total to power the screen, projector and speakers but with around 100 people at each event everyone took it in turns.
Our outdoor cinema also included a locally run bar and some tasty Jamaican street food. We kept our film goers cosy with lots of cushions and blankets but luckily we managed to avoid the rain. This event was supported by The Big Lottery and money raised from the ticket sales went to a local community garden project and the YMCA community centre.
