Edible Adamsdown started as a project to regenerate and re open Adamsdown Community garden. In 2014 and 2015 Green City Events organised a series of events and workshops, giving locals an opportunity to learn new skills, share experience and knowledge and meet like-minded members of the community. The garden is now run by a dedicated group of local volunteers.
This beautiful little garden is hidden away behind Adamsdown resource centre on Moira terrace and boasts raised beds, a pond, tonnes herbs, a grapevine and a living willow structure.
Edible Adamsdown has now become a collective of local volunteers who are passionate about growing food and plants in the city. We want to share our green spaces and open them up to all as a hub for sharing growing knowledge, getting our hands dirty and drinking cups of tea!
Our community garden is open on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, 2-4pm March - October. We also host fun family friendly events such as Spring fun days, seedling swaps and garden parties.
Pop along or visit our Edible Adamsdown facebook group if you would like to visit the garden and get involved! Watch this Made in Cardiff TV video about the project so far!
This project was started by Green City events in collaboration with Star Communities First and supported by Food Cardiff and the Neighbourhood partnership fund.
